Some basic information about Fishing Licences in Ontario before your get started:

• Children under 18 who are non-residents of Canada can fish without a fishing licence as long as they are fishing with their parent or guardian who does have a fishing licence, however they cannot claim a limit of fish unless they have their own fishing licence.
• Children under 18 or seniors over 65 who are residents of Canada do not need a fishing licence to fish in Ontario
• If you are not fishing with a fishing licence you need to carry identification that shows you do not need a fishing licence
• Conservation Fishing Licence Limit - 2 Walleye, 2 Northern Pike
• Sport Fishing Licence Limit - 4 Walleye, 6 Northern Pike
