Fish Fry!!!

Fish Fry is one of the most exciting times in the week. Fish fry is every Wednesday night and the food served is delicious.

Fried whitefish, and provincial, along with fiddleheads. Fiddleheads are young frawns (ferns) that are just starting to emerge from the ground (they taste earthy). They are picked locally from a young man on Mile 209 and sent up to us. Other food served is greek, potatoe, coleslaw, spinach and macaroni salads. Along with a veggie tray, pickle tray, olive tray, homemade beans, and bannack. Dessert is ‘Haiwaiin Dreams’ which you need to try to enjoy, their sooo delicious!

After supper, we have ‘Minnow Races’. Minnow races is a game invented with a track, starter and minnows. We have 6 heats, and the winners from all the heats race in the last one. Bets are placed on different fish and overall a good time for everyone.
Here are some pictures from yesterdays’ fish fry.

Thank you for your comments. Al and Doris.

Having once stayed at Erringtons, I can attest to the excellent cuisine. The chef is absolutely amazing in his ability to produce meals of excellent quality and top-notch presentation. It is quite obvious that every morsel is prepared with utmost attention to detail. Mouth-watering aromas eminate from the kitchen area each and every evening, promising the most delicious feasts.
I would like to commend this chef for all of his hard work and dedication!
Perhaps at a later date, one of the blogs could be used in order to honour this most talented man.
